When is your birthday? No, no, not that birthday, I mean your real birthday, the day you were born into Christ, your baptism. Yesterday, it was the anniversary of our son’s baptism, and we celebrated. Do you celebrate yours? Do you celebrate your children’s? If not, you should.
Of all the events in your life, the day you were baptized is one of the most important. Afterall, celebrating the day your were born kind of misses the point because your life truly started nine months before you took your first breath. And because God has called us to be not of this world, to me it makes sense to celebrate the day you took your first breath in Christ with as much, if not more, fanfare as the day this world labels as your birthday.
